WHAT WE BELIEVE

Faith and believing can be confusing, frustrating and even boring.  We believe that faith and believing should be clear, practical and full of life.  Faircreek is a group of people just like you who need clear answers to tough questions.  We believe that all of life centers in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and that He is a God who is FOR all of us.  We are a group of imperfect people who desire to follow Jesus and His teachings.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY IRRESISTIBLE?

 

Jesus was irresistible. His message was irresistible.

 

It’s our job as the church to represent that same irresistible good news to our communities. Nuances of what matters to our neighbors, and how we bring them toward Jesus is ever-changing and always contextualized to the person in front of us.

 

Have churches “achieved” irresistible? Of course not, but we are striving toward that vision so we might win as many as possible.

Our church, established in 1928 under the name Christian Tabernacle, has a long history of supporting and sending people to places all over the world to share the Gospel, including Cuba. During their government changeover in 1959, Cuba closed and didn't allow us to be there any longer. 
Cuba opened in 2004 and we began helping churches there once again. In 2008, we helped plant a local church in Cienfuegos. Pastor Mayito, his wife Janet and his daughter Emily have led that church since it began and have grown the ministry to where it is today. 
They recently adopted our "For Our Neighbors" approach, which has resulted in tremendous church growth, and they have now applied for national recognition from the Cuban government as "Faircreek del Sur" (Faircreek of the South).
